An Engineering Enclave

State Senate candidate Joe LaPorta is a professional engineer.

Not liking to generalize about groups and their representatives, I will nonetheless say that engineers, having an engineering culture, know how to work with others to get things done—the project is job one—and they are extremely helpful, design-oriented, and supportive of others’ learning processes.

Personally, would like to see an engineering enclave spring up in North Guilford, which has ample room on properties for outbuildings (workshops) and a relaxing, bucolic characterization that beneficially affects a working quality of life. Real estate agents, take note: Clusters of engineers cut down on commute times for consultation with each other.
