Stands Up and Works

When the legislature abruptly ended the regular legislative session due to COVID-19, our state representative, Devin Carney (R-23), never stopped working and stepped up to assist his fellow neighbors. He volunteered at mask drives in the district and region to make sure people were able to get protection, especially when it was difficult to find masks. He supported our local businesses, assisted countless people with unemployment issues, and provided vital information to our towns. He also continues to serve on both the Westbrook and Old Saybrook reopening committees. His experience, knowledge of state and local policy, and rapport with local leaders continue to be an asset.

Devin always puts his constituents first and, just last week, he voted to hold Eversource more accountable to ratepayers. He doesn’t sit idly by when his need assistance—he stands up and works to find solutions.

You won’t find a harder-working legislator and I look forward to casting my vote to re-elect Devin Carney.
