Record of Leadership

I write in support of John Hall for state representative for the 35th District. John is experienced and highly competent as a result of decades of involvement with Westbrook. He has been a Board of Selectmen member for 11 consecutive years, served 25 years as a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals, and currently is president of the Middlesex County Farm Bureau Board of Directors. In addition to managing the Maple Breeze Farm in Westbrook, he has created a small business that employees many individuals. John has a working knowledge of the legislative process in Hartford having testified on many bills and, consequently, is very familiar with many legislators on both sides of the aisle.

I have, as first selectman, worked closely with John for more than a decade and have always been impressed with his knowledge and due diligence on issues relating to governance in our community. He examines all points of view and makes decisions that are fiscally prudent and in the best interest of his constituents. He is a principled individual and is highly regarded as a leader with a strong moral compass, committed to creating more jobs, lower taxes, and moving beyond the current civic strife that consumes so much of our energy as residents.

The time has come to elect John Hall, whose record of leadership is exactly what Connecticut needs for the next representative of the 35th District.

First Selectman Noel Bishop (R)
