Passionate Dedication

Kathy Grant, a candidate for District 87 in the House of Representatives, is a single parent whose three children attended North Haven schools. We all need Kathy’s passionate dedication to North Haven’s middle-class families. When Kathy is elected, that dedication will translate to all middle-class families across Connecticut. A parent of a child with a pre-existing condition, Kathy will work diligently for paid family and medical leave placing children’s health and security in the forefront. Kathy will work to ensure that all will have equal access to all available programs.

Kathy is a dedicated community volunteer with years of service to North Haven and the state. Kathy is in her second year as chairperson of the North Haven Democratic Committee and currently serves the Middlesex Hospital Cancer Center and the North Haven Blight Commission. Kathy also served on the North Haven Board of Assessment Appeals and as treasurer for the League of Women Voters (Hamden/North Haven). Kathy also served as secretary of the Green Acres PTA, and as a Girl Scout leader for three years, and as a Christian educator, including one year on the Christian Education Board.

Kathy has her bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology. She is currently pursuing a second degree in health information management. Her professional career includes working for the State of Connecticut’s Judicial Branch, working at the Superior Court for Juvenile Matters in New Haven and the Support Enforcement Division for both New Haven and Meriden courts. We need experienced legislators in Connecticut with Kathy’s strong background of service.

I am proud to support Kathy Grant in her campaign for the Connecticut State House of Representatives.
