‘No’ to New Taxes

I laugh when politicians talk about “tax equality” and about increasing taxes on certain people or professions to redistribute the tax burden. The way to solve our budget problem isn’t with new taxes, no matter who they affect. We have one of the highest tax burdens in the country already. The way to move our whole state forward and to help families get ahead is start saying “No” to these insane new taxes and to start looking to make our government more efficient.

Last year, proposals floated around Hartford to tax groceries, plastic bags, bike helmets, haircuts, parking, newspapers and magazines, veterinary services, and just about every other item or service we use. State Representative Joe Zullo (R-99) opposed these, and other taxes, because he understands that every dollar counts for working families

I respect the job Rep. Joe Zullo has done in his first term because he hasn’t been afraid to say “No” to new taxes. It’s high time we make our government more efficient and work better for us all. I believe that if Rep. Zullo is re-elected, he will continue opposing the far-reaching, nuisance taxes floated last year. I want someone in Hartford watching out for by bottom line and that’s why I’m encouraging everyone to support Rep. Joe Zullo on Election Day.
