Compassionate, Competent, and Dedicated

In the wake of one of the most unprecedented and high stakes presidential elections in recent history, we must remember how critical it is to elect compassionate, competent, and dedicated local leaders. State Senator Christine Cohen has proudly and effectively represented the 12th District in Hartford over the past two years and I wholeheartedly endorse her re-election.

With attacks on health care, the environment, and Social Security at the federal level, it is of utmost importance to ensure we are electing leaders who are dedicated to protecting our most vulnerable. Christine has worked to expand access to healthcare for people with pre-existing conditions and to create a public health care option for families and small businesses.

Despite the countless Environmental Protection Agency rollbacks we have seen nationally, Christine, as Senate chair of the Environment Committee, has led the charge to ban single-use plastic bags and expand a statewide fracking waste ban. She passed a bi-partisan clean energy bill that will put Connecticut as a leader in renewable energy and create thousands of jobs.

Local elections matter. I encourage your readers to vote for Christine Cohen.
