A Strong Voice

Kathy Grant, candidate for state representative for North Haven, is an experienced leader and public servant who supports affordable health care, tax relief for North Haven residents, paid family and medical leave, educational opportunities, and smart economic development. Kathy wants to help working families thrive and to make North Haven a place where both small and large businesses can succeed. In fact, she has been endorsed by the Working Families Party as well as the AFL-CIO and two teachers’ organizations, AFT and CEA.

With her record of public service, when elected Kathy will hit the ground running. She is dedicated to community service and is currently serving her second term as chair of the North Haven Democratic Town Committee, as well as serving on the town’s Blight Commission. She previously served on the town’s Board of Assessment Appeals from 2014 to 2019 and for three years as treasurer for the League of Women Voters (Hamden-North Haven chapter). She was secretary for the Green Acres Elementary School PTA for a two-year term, and served three years as a Girl Scout troop leader and eight years as a Christian educator, including one year on the Christian Education Board.

Diligent and resourceful, Kathy is a problem-solver. She sees North Haven residents experiencing the impact of COVID-19 in difficult and often devastating ways, and in response her goals are to ensure unemployment benefits for those who need them, economic recovery and growth for businesses in town, and affordable health care options for all residents.

Kathy Grant will be a strong voice for North Haven.
