The Power of Compromise

I am writing in support of one of the hardest working people I know, my husband, State representative Sean Scanlon (D-98). I understand that my endorsement is biased, but, for what it’s worth, he married a tough critic.

I can tell you that there is not a day that goes by that Sean is not working, thinking, listening or trying to understand how to better help each and every one of your readers. Serving his community as state representative is his passion and outside of his family, what brings him the most joy.

These past few months have been some of the most difficult for all of us. Sean has been a steady and sound leader and advocate not only for our family but for his constituents, too. The thing I love most about Sean is that he believes in the power of compromise. Even in this very politically divided time, he is always the first to try to bring people together, no matter how far apart on any given issue, to talk it out. To my surprise and often theirs, somehow they usually find some common ground and a path forward toward progress to make all of our lives better.

For these reasons and so many more, I encourage your readers to support Sean Scanlon on Nov. 3 and vote for him so he can continue to work for them. It is the honor of his life and there is not a day that goes by that he takes them for granted.
