Restore Mutual Respect

I support Christine Cohen for state senator as she represents many of the values I’ve cultivated over a lifetime working as an architect and advocate to make the world more livable and equitable. Here’s a snapshot of those values I hold dear.

The gun was pointed directly at me by a union member just a few feet away, as I protected a Black non-union painter working on my project. I know the feeling of vulnerability staring at gun in my face unarmed. I also know the feeling of peaceful civic engagement, such as when I took part in the 2017 Women’s March in Washington, D.C.—the largest in history.

As a 92-year-old Democrat, I believe in law and order. And I believe in a police force that serves and protects all people.

As a Democrat, I believe in the right to peacefully protest. As a Democrat, I believe that vandals and looters should be arrested and punished. As a Democrat, I believe in racial justice.

I know that Christine Cohen is working hard to restore mutual respect and to find solutions to these unresolved issues.

I encourage your readers to join me in re-electing Christine Cohen for state senator!
