Calm, Thoughtful Action

I am writing to enthusiastically support Christine Cohen’s re-election as State Senator for the 12th District. Our community has faced major challenges over the last two years, but Christine has approached each issue with calm, thoughtful action.

I depend on her daily COVID-19 updates to learn about our state’s testing strategy, positivity trends, and virus mitigation efforts. She hosted an informative virtual Town Hall session with Guilford’s superintendent of schools to discuss re-opening plans. Parents could listen, learn, and ask questions safely from home. I appreciated her diligent efforts to keep constituents safe and informed during the recent storms that so devastated parts of the shoreline. Christine called out our energy providers for their lackluster storm preparation and the resulting extended power outages, supporting hearings at the state level to improve future response. And through all of these challenges she has continued to support causes like Smilow’s Closer to Free Ride, volunteer in community clean-ups, and lead social justice efforts in the 12th District.

Christine embodies the very best qualities of a public servant. She is thoughtful, knowledgeable, and always ready with a listening ear. Now more than ever, we need Christine Cohen as our 12th District senator.
