Will Continue to Fight

Those of us who live in the 98th House District are fortunate to be represented by Sean Scanlon. From a leadership position in the House, one issue Sean has emphasized is healthcare. Sean has written and successfully obtained the passage of legislation to protect insurance coverage for people with pre-existing conditions and ensured that mental health is covered in the same way as physical health by insurance companies. He has worked to successfully lower drug prices and cap the cost of insulin. These initiatives are paramount in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The effects of the pandemic on health have been and are going to be profound and Sean’s leadership has placed them front and center. Sean is well-respected by his peers in both parties and has shown an ability to reach across the aisle and obtain success on a bi-partisan basis.

Sean has worked to mitigate the impact of the recent storm damage in Branford and Guilford by connecting with followers on social media and sending out informational tweets and posts. He has called for the utility company serving our district to provide relief in the form of rebates or credits to assist with the financial losses suffered as a result of the recent power outages and is supporting legislation to make our utility companies more accountable.

Sean listens to his constituents, shows empathy and compassion, and does what is needed to get positive results. Sean will continue to fight and deliver for all of us and I encourage your readers to join me in voting to return him to the State House of Representatives.
