Knowledge and Experience

I am pleased to write this letter to support the candidacy of Christine Goupil for state representative for the 35th Assembly District consisting of Clinton, Killingworth, and Westbrook.

Christine is the former first selectman of Clinton and currently serves on its Town Council, the Connecticut River Area Health District Board, and Central Regional Tourism District Board. Previously, Christine served on the Planning & Zoning Commission and Downtown Revitalization Committee and is a founding member of Placemakers and the Clinton Arts Council.

Having served on these Clinton boards and commissions, Goupil will bring an informed perspective to Hartford. Her experience in analyzing the impact of state policies, agency practices, and proposed legislation and its effects on town government will be an asset.

Christine has put her considerable energy into making her town a welcoming and desirable place to live. She will continue to put the knowledge and experience gained on these boards and commissions to work for us as we move forward out of this difficult pandemic time.

I encourage your readers to join me in voting for Christine Goupil to be our 35th Assembly District representative on Nov. 3.
