Empower the People

I’m proud to endorse John-Michael Parker for state representative in the 101st District.

My name is Kasey Borduas and I’m a junior at University of Maryland, College Park. I graduated from Daniel Hand in 2018 and became familiar with John-Michael Parker post-graduation. He was the director for the Pit Orchestra and then the VIBE Band, both of which I was a part of in high school.

My younger brother, who’s now a senior at Hand, raved about his new instructor as he was also a part of both extracurriculars. When I came back to Madison over Christmas break, I knew I had to introduce myself.

John-Michael Parker is seriously one of the kindest and most hard working people I’ve met. I really admire his passion and his work ethic. Something he clearly cares about is empowering youth.

This past summer I had the privilege of interning for his campaign where he not only provided mentors for all of his interns but also gave so much of his own time to encourage us to pursue our passions.

With his guidance and the help of the mentors and connections he got me, I was able to launch an educational website with hopes of helping overwhelmed allies find resources quickly.

John-Michael Parker will work hard to empower the people of the 101st District like he empowered me all summer. He will apply his kindness, compassion and drive everyday and work to make the 101st District a fantastic place to live.

I’ll be voting for John-Michael Parker for state representative with my absentee ballot, and I hope your readers will, too!
