A Strong, Articulate Voice

I am pleased and proud to support Christine Goupil in her run for the 35th District in the Connecticut General Assembly. Her record of public service to the town of Clinton began with eight years on the Planning & Zoning Commission and two years as first selectman, where she embraced the challenge of improving economic development in Clinton.

Christine was driven to finish many town projects that had been left undone for years. She worked diligently on the successful sale of the old Morgan School. She pushed through the construction of a new Clinton Train Station. She was instrumental in the sale of the long-vacant Unilever property. Her skill at interacting with state agencies enabled her to accomplish all three of these goals in just two years, and she will take those skills, and those experiences, with her to the General Assembly.

As first selectman, Christine also promoted charter revisions that changed our form of government to town manager-town council. Christine is currently a member of the first-ever Town Council, and also serves on the Connecticut River Area Health District and the Central Regional Tourism Board.

Because we deserve a strong, articulate voice up in Hartford, I enthusiastically encourage voters in the towns of Clinton, Westbrook, and Killingworth, to elect Christine Goupil as our representative from the 35th District.
