People Ahead of Politics

I first met State Representative Devin Carney (R-23) when I contacted him to discuss my concerns with tolls and taxes. He responded quickly, listened carefully to my concerns, and we had a conversation about how expensive it is to live and retire in Connecticut. To me, he was a breath of fresh air.

Connecticut is facing massive deficits, so there is a strong likelihood that the legislature will attempt to raise our taxes again. We need representatives like Devin who will fight against higher taxes and who understand that people cannot afford to pay more—especially during a pandemic.

As an unaffiliated voter, I will be casting my vote for Devin because he always puts people ahead of politics and I know he will stand up against those who want to make Connecticut a much more expensive place to live and do business. We need to send Devin back to the Capitol to be our voice; we simply cannot afford not to.
