A Basic Life Lesson

When I was a kid, I didn’t get to raid my brother’s piggy bank for the ice cream truck just because I’d already spent my own money on toys. It’s a basic life lesson, that you should earn what you get. To take someone else’s money after you’ve been wasteful is unethical. If only our current politicians could think the same way, yet the Town of Branford must constantly battle them back from our rainy-day reserves. We cannot let this happen, or else our local services will end up slashed and gutted in the name of bailing out another town’s wastefulness.

If your readers want to keep seeing well-maintained parks, solid schools, prompt snow plowing, and all the other reliable Branford services we know and love, then I encourage them to give their votes to Marc Riccio for the 102nd District state representative seat. His campaign slogan speaks the truth. A vote for Marc Riccio is indeed a vote for Branford.
