This Reckless Policy

Despite an alarming rise in COVID infections nationwide, specifically due to re-opening schools, universities, and pro sports (leading to the immediate halt to all “in-person schooling” at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, for example), Old Saybrook schools have opened. Thank God, my daughter-in-law will not be sending my grandchildren.

Rather than a safe alternative, such as distributing a Google Chromebook to any student who needs one for online learning from home, the Town of Old Saybrook chose to risk the lives of innocent schoolchildren.

If one child dies because of this reckless policy, the entire town will mourn the loss, but the officials who made the irresponsible decision in the first place, shall bear the guilt forever.
