A Leader to the Community

Whether it be in person or by absentee, I will be voting to re-elect Christine Cohen as state senator of the 12th District.

Throughout these unpredictable and trying times, Senator Cohen has worked tirelessly to keep us informed. Her daily COVID-19 updates detail how many tests have been administered across the state, the number of positive cases, rate of hospitalization, and death toll. She gives us town by town positive case rates and the locations of testing centers. She has been a strong advocate for listening to the science, increasing testing, and above all keeping our families safe.

While navigating a pandemic and the many complications it brings, we have then been hit by two back-to-back storms. Christine has not missed a beat in keeping her constituents up-to-date on power outages, road closures, and expected restoration times. She has been on the ground surveying damages, closely tracking recovery time and keeping pressure on Eversource to ensure it is held accountable to ratepayers. Christine has proven herself as a leader to the community even during these unmitigated times.

I can’t wait to cast my ballot for someone who fights for us both in Hartford, and here at home in Guilford. I hope your readers join me.

Selectman Sandy Ruoff (D)
