Beach Has Been a Sanctuary

I am sending a big “thank you” to Mayor Joe Carfora, the beach staff, and the garden club for a delightful summer at the East Haven Town Beach.

Because only East Haven residents have been given access to the beach, we have been able to maintain the required social distance and enjoy a peaceful and relaxing visit to the shore, while keeping the beach open.

The staff has been very pleasant and attentive. They have been most patient while facing rude behavior from those who could not prove residence. They are doing a wonderful job.

The East Haven Garden Club has worked hard to add attractive floral arrangements, giving the beach a little facelift.

During the COVID-19, the beach has been a sanctuary for many of us. The East Haven Town Beach is truly a treasure. It has been a very refreshing season at the East Haven shoreline.
