Impressive and Unforgettable

Since my own graduation from the Valley Regional High School in 1954, I’ve had no occasions to be in contact with any subsequent seniors and, in fact, I know none of the 2020 grads.

However, I was recently overwhelmed coming upon the display of the seniors’ pictures on the green at the Chester Meeting House. It brought me to tears.

Accustomed to the standard headshots in yearbooks, it was startling to see each of the students, male and female, having provided their favorite photos, each one as beautiful as the next.

Seniors, while you may have missed the traditional “Pomp and Circumstance” and walking on stage to receive your diplomas, this has been the most impressive and unforgettable event that could have occurred.

Regardless of what procedures occur next year, I hope these displays become an annual event, which will bring so much pleasure to everyone who sees them in Chester, Deep River, and Essex.
