A Tremendous Contribution

Cindy Ringer of LJR Images is a very talented photographer who specializes in headshots and portraiture. During the COVID 19 shut down, rather than sit idly by, Cindy chose to use her quarantine time to donate her impressive photography skills to raise money for Madison Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N), a component fund of The Madison Foundation.

Her concept was a portrait project to recognize family bonds and maintain community connection during a pandemic requiring social distancing. The concept was originated by Cara Soulia, in Needham, Massachusetts, in March—#thefrontstepsproject. Cindy offered to take a family portrait, outdoors, at people’s homes, in exchange for a donation of $50 to N2N. Incredibly, she managed to take portraits of 159 Madison families, amounting to an $8,000 contribution, and an introduction to many families who were unfamiliar with the N2N mission.

The portraits can be seen on Cindy’s website, cindy@LJRimages.com. I cannot thank Cindy Ringer enough for her tremendous contribution to Madison N2N, and our goal to help Madison families survive this unprecedented crisis.
