Heartbeat of the Operation

Mary Johnston and Barbara Barrett as well as the volunteer staff are the heartbeat of the operation at the Community Dining Room. Without their due diligence, the operation of the kitchen would be in a shambles.

Due to COVID-19, the volunteer staff has been reduced by more than 50 percent. The number of people who are in need of the services provided by the dining room has risen exponentially. They are now required to do more than twice the work in the same amount of time.

I thank them for their selfless work to ensure the dietary needs of the people of Branford are being met.
