A Team Effort

I would like to send a sincere “Thank you” to all East Haven residents who have purchased a fashionable, cotton cloth mask via Facebook. Their contributions are helping a local artist with experience in textile and fabrics keep busy designing new patterns, while a contribution from each mask purchase is sent directly to benefit the East Haven Food Pantry. As of Mother’s Day, a total of $375 has been donated to the pantry. Even in midst COVID-19 pandemic, East Haven’s generosity to donate to a local organization and help our residents always shines!

This is a team effort of East Haven families that serve to connect and help each other. This past month, we have been able to make and donate free masks to the elderly, immuno-compromised individuals and children. It is imperative that our most vulnerable populations always be at the forefront for safety and welfare protections.

With the anticipated opening of businesses this week, we plan to meet residents’ needs with some beautiful designs to make their individuality stand out in a crowd, at a restaurant parking lot, or at the beauty parlor.

I encourage your readers to continue to be safe, stay healthy, eat nutritiously, and most of all, let’s continue to be kind and considerate of each other and our neighbors. We can make a difference in the life of another daily.
