As many of your readers know, my dog Maggie and I walk at Saybrook Point every morning and watch as our hard-working Old Saybrook town crew try in vain to control all the litter that flies around, more now than ever, with increasing take-out food containers from local restaurants during COVID times. There’s a simple solution: ask the private trash vendor to replace all their open-access receptacles with lidded ones. The resident black crows, who spend the day picking trash out of the open-sided receptacles, are the true culprits!
