Ditch the Warnings

I fail to understand the need for [COVID-19 mitigation] warning signs at every access point to Madison. What can their purpose be? To instill fear? To flex governmental muscle?

Anyone who has read a newspaper, turned on a TV, or listened to a radio in the past month gets it. It seems to be a reiteration of Rahm Emanuel’s (in)famous statement, “You never let a serious crisis go to waste.” All serious adults and parents know what to do; the unserious will be unmoved.

I ask the town to ditch the warnings and spare us further embarrassment. Let the town, the state, and the country start on the path to normalcy. And let me know when the First Amendment has been restored.
