Stepped Up to Make a Difference

Madison stand up and take a bow—our town has a lot to be proud of! Certainly this is a time beyond any of our expectations. All of our lives have changed in ways that no one could have predicted.

As I watch our first responders, healthcare professionals, town leaders, town staff, educators, and generous donors, I’m so proud to be part of this community. It’s been amazing to see all the creative ways our residents have stepped up to make a difference in the lives of their neighbors.

Obviously we are all very concerned for our residents who have contracted the virus and mourn those we have lost. At the same time, many of our families are struggling significantly due to job losses and businesses closing. There is help for them, though they need more and we must continue providing for them.

Like many of your readers, I love this town; now more than ever we can all see why. We must stay vigilant in social distancing and wearing protective coverings. The road ahead will be challenging, but I know that we will come out of this stronger and resilient because we will do it together. I encourage your readers to contact me if I can help in any way.
