Response Was Astounding

We are overwhelmed by the generosity of the people on the Connecticut shoreline. On Saturdays, Feb. 1 and 8, members of the Lutheran Church of Madison held food drives at Madison Stop & Shop to help supply the Food Pantries in Madison, Clinton, and Guilford. Our efforts were to help satisfy the growing need of the shoreline pantries as they seek to assist people who don’t have enough food on their tables.

The response was astounding. Over the two Saturdays, we collected more than 4,000 pounds of food and household goods, and in addition, many generous cash donations. We thank the donors from the bottom of our hearts.
