Amazing and Generous People

As we head into the heart of the busy holiday season, I wanted to pause, reflect, and take a heartfelt moment to thank everyone who has supported the East Haven Food Pantry this year. Our community is made up of such amazing and generous people. Thanks go to those who have held food drives and who have donated food. As you may know, the pantry runs strictly on food and monetary donations and each year it seems to be an even bigger challenge to keep food on the pantry shelves. During Thanksgiving, the pantry handed out close to 300 Thanksgiving baskets to East Haven families, which hopefully brought joy and the blessings of a wonderful meal with family.

Last and most important, I want to extend my sincere thanks to all the pantry volunteers who, without them the pantry would not be in existence. This special group of approximately 50 people are always willing to give of themselves for the benefit of our community. Our town is very fortunate to have such a remarkable group of individuals who care so much for others. I am truly honored and blessed to call these volunteers my friends and family.
