Grateful for Gratitude

On Nov. 16, the Clinton Arts Council, with support from Clinton Insurance, sponsored a story telling event, Story Telling Live! which took place at the Clinton Town Hall stage. The experience was intimate as the story tellers as well as the audience were on stage. The six storytellers were experienced and schooled in the art of story telling. The format was much the same as what is heard on The Moth show series on public radio.

I learned that some of these performers had attended story telling workshops, classes, and competitions that take place all over the United States. This is a skill that is learned, practiced, and perfected.

The title of the night was “Gratitude” and each story teller reflected this feeling in as many ways as there were story tellers.

I hope your readers will attend the next show on Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020 at 7 p.m. at the Town Hall as this will be an ongoing series. The title for that night will be “Resolutions.”
