Community Pride

I am writing to share my excitement and anticipation over recent arts programs being created in Clinton by The Clinton Arts Council, which has already included First Thursday evening music presentations at various civic locations, including Town Hall, and at sponsoring businesses on Main Street. Most recently it presented Storytelling Live! at the Andrews Memorial Town Hall Theater, featuring real life stories from compelling storytellers. Some beautiful sculptures have also been recently placed in both the Historical Society Garden and at The Town Hall Annex, with more sculptures to be added in other locations in the near future. Most of these new art pieces will be installed on private properties in the vicinity of downtown.

I am pleased to see the efforts to make the landscape of our town more attractive and interesting to residents and visitors alike and I applaud the efforts of the arts council. These initiatives make me happy to be a part of our unique and friendly town, and I believe help promote dialogue, social experiences, and a sense of community pride.
