Prepared by Experience

I want to introduce Dale Bernardoni to Chester voters. Dale is a Democratic candidate for a four-year term on the Chester Board of Education. She has lived in Chester for more than 10 years and has more than 40 years’ experience as a professional educator, having been a teacher, curriculum coordinator, and school administrator. She has served as an elementary school principal in several districts. In addition, she has taught in colleges and universities, both in classrooms and in the ongoing supervision of candidates for credentialing in school administration. Dale has doctorate in education with a concentration in educational leadership.

In retirement, Dale continues in leadership positions in supporting public education. She serves in the Connecticut Office of Higher Education as an evaluator and is the Connecticut managing director of The Fund for Teachers. She and her team provide financial and other support for public school teachers to pursue educational projects throughout the world. Her many contributions have been formally recognized by a number of agencies, including the United Way and the Connecticut State Department of Education.

Dale is active in Chester and in the larger community. She’s on the Board of Trustees for the First Congregational Church of Old Lyme and a docent at the Florence Griswold Museum. In Chester, she has served as a volunteer at the historical society museum and has been a mentor for students at the Chester Elementary School.

Dale is prepared by experience and personal convictions to join the Chester Board of Education as we continue to support school administration and the entire community in the tradition of excellence that has made Chester a community where all, especially children and families, will prosper. She is highly qualified. I encourage your readers to join me and vote for Dale, as she deserves our vote.
