10/30/2019 08:00 AMTwo weeks ago, more than a hundred members of our local community attended 90 Years in Ivoryton, a benefit to raise funds for local afterschool and day camp programs at Incarnation Center. The generosity and incredible outpouring of support for children was overwhelming. The party included live band Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (who shredded it for three hours); barbecue from Bear’s in Windsor; raffle and auction items totaling more than $10,000 in value; beverages from Deep River Discount Liquors, Bob’s Centerbrook Package Store, and Outer Light Brewery; a beach firepit; and free childcare.
We thank supporters for helping raise a net total of $16,000 for day camp/afterschool scholarships and programming. Since the event, the generous donations have already benefited a number of local families in our community. Thanks go to our donors, attendees, staff, and community. We are already looking forward to next year’s autumn event!
