Dedication to All Citizens

I’ve been a citizen of Clinton for just about six years. I came here after living in Madison for 13 years and as much as I loved that town, I just didn’t feel really at home there. Every day that I spend in this town, I love it more and more. I’m very proud to call Clinton my hometown. With our upcoming new form of government, we’re ready to embark on a new chapter in Clinton’s very long and storied past.

Every four years, the media states how important it is for third parties to run in their local elections, even for dog catcher, to get a solid voting base. What’s even better than dog catcher? Town Council and the Greens are hitting out of the park with their Town Council candidate, Eric Bergman. I research the candidates that I intend to vote for very thoroughly. From everything I’ve seen, from the many past students who call him their favorite teacher to the education in civic involvement that he is providing his students, I’m impressed with his dedication to the youth of Clinton. His platform, along with the rest of the Greens, also includes a senior center, which further shows the dedication to all citizens, young and old.

I’m very excited to have another option this election day and I hope your readers join me in voting for Eric Bergman for Town Council and all of the other folks with the Clinton Greens!
