Can Always Do More

I am supporting Noel Bishop to be re-elected as first selectman. His entire professional careers as a university dean and executive director of a major health care in Connecticut demanded developing and implementing strategic plans. He brought these same leadership skills to the position of first selectman. Every three to four years that he has been in office, he has assembled staff and chairs of all boards and commissions that helped us focus our collective efforts to establish specific plans that require a high level of accountability. Noel is never satisfied with the status quo and knows that our municipal government must move forward.

Recently, he led a workshop for all of the major businesses in Westbrook with more than 75 individuals attending. As the facilitator, he challenged us to do more to promote business and economic growth that further enhances the symbiotic relationship between our municipal government and local businesses.

Westbrook needs his continued leadership. Noel has years of experience with a track record of insisting that we can always do more for our residents. He often says, “Together we can create our own future.” I will cast my vote for Noel Bishop and encourage your readers to re-elect him on Nov. 5.
