Bring Impressive Credentials

Nothing impacts community life more quickly than municipal elections. Branford’s local Election Day is Nov. 5. I enthusiastically endorse three outstanding candidates for the Branford RTM: Tracy Everson, Laura Noe, and Kathi Traugh are campaigning to serve Branford’s 5th District; they bring impressive credentials to town government.

Kathi Traugh was appointed to fill a vacant RTM seat and is running to retain it. She has served on key boards and commissions and is well-known to be accessible and responsive. Kathi works in continuing education at the Yale School of Public Heath. She is also a mother and a grandmother.

Laura Noe worked in New York City’s corporate world for 22 years. A Branford resident for 16 years, she serves on the Early Childhood Collaborative board and the Branford Green Committee and created the Blackstone Library’s First Amendment Wall where residents safely share a variety of sometimes opposing views. Laura is an author, a single mom, and the devoted sister to an adult brother with special needs.

Before returning to Branford to be close to her aging parents, Tracy Everson was a successful journalist and later, the communications director for a New York judge and a New York state senator. Now a realtor at Century 21, Tracy is also vice president of the Friends of Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library, VP of the Thimble Islands Association, and a member of the Coastal Vulnerability Working Group.

Laura, Kathi, and Tracy are experienced leaders. They know how to budget. They treasure and contribute to Branford’s quality of life. I encourage your readers to join me in voting on Nov. 5 for Tracy Everson, Laura Noe, and Kathi Traugh.
