At a Critical Point

Be authentic, fight for what you believe in, and focus on solving town challenges: This has been my personal motto and my promise to residents as selectman for the past three years. I’m seeking re-election this Nov. 5 so I can continue to represent residents’ thoughts and ideas. As your readers’ selectman, I’ll continue to be an approachable leader, a positive public voice, and an active collaborator invested in making the Town of Madison a great place to live for all its residents.

We’re blessed to live here in our beautiful town of Madison. As such, I’ve always felt an obligation to give back rather than sit on the sidelines. I was honored to serve as the president of Madison Little League for eight years. I was the vice chair for three years of the Madison Park Development Commission (which developed Salt Meadow Park). I was the chairman of the Fields Advisory Committee. I was a deacon at North Madison Congregational Church. As a selectman, I’ve been the liaison to the Board of Education, Capital Improvement Committee, Madison Youth & Family Services, Madison Ambulance Associate, Madison Library Board of Trustees, and the Library Building Committee.

Our town is at a critical point in our history where we desperately need thoughtful decision making from leadership that listens. Madison requires an integrated strategic and capital plan that represents the interests of the community across all aspects of town government. Madison needs selectmen with the experience, management capabilities, and courage to ensure our town is the best it can be. I firmly believe that this year’s Democratic slate of candidates is best suited to lead the next Board of Selectmen. I encourage your readers to vote Row A for Al Goldberg, Scott Murphy, and Peggy Lyons for Board of Selectman on Nov 5.
