We hereby endorse Nancy Barrett’s candidacy for the North Haven Board of Finance (BOF). As fellow longtime North Haven residents, we have known Nancy, her husband, and their three children in multiple capacities and are confident that Nancy will excel in this position. Nancy’s educational background, business experience, and quantitative skill set make her extremely well qualified and an excellent fit for the North Haven BOF. She exemplifies honesty, thoroughness and integrity.

Nancy gives back to her community in a variety of ways and has become increasingly involved in local politics. She was a founding member of the North Haven Team for Education, which advocated for strategic budget investments in education. In 2018, she was appointed to serve on an ad hoc committee responsible for creating the Athletic Field Usage Policies. As the result of careful study and seeking guidance, Nancy has become well informed about municipal budget development.

Nancy is committed to informing the public about the whole truth pertaining to the town’s budget and finances. She has demonstrated her ability to facilitate data-driven decision making, implementation, and quality measurement during her 30-year career in healthcare management, where she has worked in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries and managed her own healthcare consulting firm. Nancy desires to provide the residents of North Haven with full transparency, shared opinions supported by facts, and data-driven decision-making. Her goal on the BOF will be to ensure the best services for the people of North Haven at the lowest cost to the taxpayers.
