Thoughtful and Insightful

Stephanie Warren possesses the necessary credentials to be elected as an alternate member of the Zoning Board of Appeals.

As a prior member and secretary of the Planning & Zoning Commission, Stephanie knows our regulations and related issues that have come before the commission. She actively participated in the development of Killingworth’s Plan of Conservation and Development that included the results of the Town Survey. Stephanie was responsible for the development, implementation, and analysis of that survey. She will bring her extensive zoning knowledge and expertise to the position.

Stephanie has served on the Conservation Commission for the past 18 years and currently is chair. She has shared her knowledge of invasive plants and dangerous (to wildlife) discards in displays and in informative programs to children at the Killingworth Library. She will bring her expert knowledge of the development and conservation of our natural resources to the board.

Additionally, Stephanie is currently Killingworth’s representative on RiverCOG, a position she has held for 12 years. RiverCOG consists of 17 member towns from Middletown to Old Saybrook. In this capacity, she has acquired a knowledge of land use and transportation planning and has kept the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Board of Selectmen informed of regional issues. She has also presented Killingworth’s views to the RiverCOG membership.

I worked with Stephanie on the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Conservation Commission. Stephanie is a diligent member who comes to meetings prepared and participates in a thoughtful and insightful manner. She is professional and works cooperatively with fellow members in determining what is best for Killingworth.

I strongly support Stephanie Warren and encourage Killingworth voters to vote for Stephanie for alternate for the Zoning Board of Appeals on Nov. 5.
