Please Support Your Community News Site's COVID Coverage

The coronavirus crisis has nearly halted the local economy — including media advertising. That means local, independent news organizations such as ours must fight for our own survival while continuing to provide critical news and information as a public service during this unprecedented situation. If you believe local reporting is important and you're able to lend support during this pandemic, click here for info on making a tax-deductible donation.

My name is Carl VonDassel and I am running for a seat on the Old Saybrook Police Commission. I am currently a member of the commission and I have much more to contribute. I am a lifelong resident of Old Saybrook who owns a home and business and raised a family here. I will continue to work on the budget to make sure our residents get the best services in the most cost-effective manner.

I am also running with some amazing people who will bring professionalism and sensibility to the board. I encourage your readers to support me and fellow Police Commission candidates, Susan Quish, Jeff Jordan, and Joe Maselli on Nov. 5. Old Saybrook is a great town to live and work in and our Nov. 5 ticket will keep it that way.
