A Problem-Solver

If the current situation in Washington makes your readers feel helpless, there’s a way to take some control: Vote in our municipal election on Nov. 5. And if they live in the 3rd District, I encourage them to vote for Linda Erlanger for the RTM. Here’s why.

Linda, too, felt she had to do something, rather than just sit back and watch. She got involved in local politics. And that’s Linda. She is a do-er. She is an incumbent member of the RTM and serves as an active member on the Ways and Means Committee. She is a tutor with the New Haven Literacy Volunteers ESOL Program. She has been a resident of Branford for 16 years and intends to spend the rest of her life in this town.

Linda is a problem-solver at heart. Combined with her outgoing personality and her tremendous sense of humor, it is easy for people to gravitate to Linda, and therefore easy for her to work with and develop consensus with people having differing opinions. She is a careful listener. She is empathetic, and she translates that empathy into advocacy. She knows how to get things done, and has the intelligence and energy to effect change. Clearly, electing Linda to a full term in the 3rd District would benefit all of us.

If your District 3 readers are looking for a representative who is a committed and empathetic listener, willing to take actions to help them and their town, one who will fight to protect our shoreline, foster economic growth, and work toward transparency and accountability in our town government, then they have found her. I encourage your District 3 readers to vote for Linda Erlanger on Nov. 5. She will make a difference!
