A Great Resource

It has been my pleasure to know Chrissy Kuehlewind who is running for the Westbrook Board of Education. Chrissy has an extensive background that makes her a great resource for this important position.

She has her B.A. in elementary education and an M.A. and six-year degree in educational leadership. She taught at the elementary level and was a reading specialist before becoming a consultant for SERC, one of the State Education Resource Centers in Connecticut. In her present position she has worked with teachers and administrators to help make connections between families and communities. Chrissy worked on many state-wide initiatives in special education, behavior management, and school climate in many school districts including in the Westbrook schools several years ago. She is also a youth leader for middle and high school students at her church.

Her passion for children and our educational system is clearly evident. These varied experiences give her a unique perspective and understanding that she will bring to the Westbrook School System. I encourage your readers to support her candidacy.
