Please Support Your Community News Site's COVID Coverage

The coronavirus crisis has nearly halted the local economy — including media advertising. That means local, independent news organizations such as ours must fight for our own survival while continuing to provide critical news and information as a public service during this unprecedented situation. If you believe local reporting is important and you're able to lend support during this pandemic, click here for info on making a tax-deductible donation.

I am pleased and honored to endorse Jane Scully Welch for Town Council, I have known Jane for all of my life. We both grew up in the same neighborhood, attended all the same Clinton Schools, and we both had mothers who were very active and involved with the town politics and the growth and well-being of our town, as were we!

Jane knows our Clinton history, our schools, the government, she is a resident of our great town, she’s proud to call Clinton her home and was a co-founder of the Clinton Pretty Committee. She has worked hard and has spend many days on various projects to make Clinton, a community to be proud of. She has served on the Clinton finance committee and been involved with many other town functions and organizations.

Jane has great energy and dedication and has a common-sense approach to important town matters, and I am proud to recommend her for a seat on the new Town Council, I believe she will bring energy, commitment, and knowledge of our town and will be a valuable asset to the Town Council.

Being an independent, Jane has no political agenda, other than to the taxpayer and residents of Clinton and for the betterment of this town. For those reasons, I strongly endorse Jane for the position on our new Town Council.
