Strong, Effective, and Progressive

I am proud to support Peggy Lyons for first selectman. I first met Peggy as a volunteer with the Madison Democratic Town Committee five years ago. I have been consistently impressed with her thoughtful approach to local matters, her commitment to Madison, and her strong civic involvement.

Peggy always makes time for what’s important—her family, her children, her volunteer responsibilities, and giving back to Madison. She is patient, kind, and intelligent, and brings a breadth of experience and knowledge from her past volunteer work with the Police Commission, Board of Finance, and Economic Development Commission. I know that volunteer service on local boards and commissions can be time-consuming and occasionally challenging but also deeply satisfying and important.

Peggy has given so much to Madison already, and I admire her commitment to serve as our first selectman. Peggy listens thoughtfully to all voices, and will be a strong, effective, and progressive first selectman.
