Getting an Absentee Ballot

I’ve learned the hard way that if I don’t remind the kids who are off at school—or myself—I might forget about getting an absentee ballot. At the town level, or even occasionally at the state and national level, elections are won and lost by a handful of votes. We’ve all heard about those surprises.

Getting an absentee ballot application is simple. Call or stop by Clinton Town Hall, which, by the way, is open Thursday evenings but closed Friday afternoons, or go to the town website, www.clintonct.org, and download the application. Once you submit your application, you’ll receive your ballot.

Election Day is Nov. 5, And this is an important one for Clinton. Our votes matter!
