A Strong Vibrant Community

This election is very important to Madison’s future. It’s up to each of us to get the real facts of what is at stake. This campaign season has been very disheartening. I have run for election 13 times and I am proud of my positive campaigns. I believe it’s what all of your readers expect and deserve.

So now let me tell you about the real First Selectman Tom Banisch, the man that I know. He is a man who has devoted incredible time in the service to Madison for more than 30 years. He has worked with and led countless civic organizations. Whether it be 16 years as the voice of Tiger football, announcing every game; teaching catechism for 20 years; or serving president of our Little League program for 16 years and past president and member of Rotary for 20 years, Tom has been there.

He chaired our Charter Review Committee twice. Tom Banisch has made Madison families a priority for decades. He has been our first selectman for four years and has been an outstanding manager and advocate. The Tom Banisch that I know is one of the kindest and most honest men I have ever known. I am so proud that he is my trusted friend.

My dad taught me to never be afraid to tell people what you stand for and what you won’t stand for. No one should ever hesitate to stand up when a honorable man is being falsely accused. As we watch the dysfunction of Washington and Hartford, we must stand tall for Madison. This election is critical to keeping Madison a strong vibrant community. I encourage your readers to give a lot of thought to their vote and to vote for my friend Tom Banisch.

State Representative Noreen Kokoruda (R-101)
