Track Record of Know-How

Ten years ago, Clinton voters were kind enough to elect me to the Board of Selectmen. It has been an amazing experience, and I can’t thank them enough for the honor.

My contribution to the board has been a stable and conservative viewpoint that would otherwise be lacking. I’ve seen budgets and mill rates rise through the years, but without my conservative opinion, history, and knowledge, the increase would have been much worse.

My record of asking tough questions, pushing for accountability, and putting Clinton first is constant. It’s for this reason I’m asking your readers to re-elect me and also support the three Republican candidates running with me for Town Council (TC): Chris Aniskovich, Mark Richards, and Dennis Donovan.

In the last two years, the Selectman’s Office has changed a great deal, much to the detriment of our town. Where’s the town planner? The town budgeted $70,000 for the last two years to fill this position, so where’s the planner and all that funding?

Where’s the streamlined planning and zoning process? We’ve seen the resignation of two zoning enforcement officers. The last zoning officer resigned seven months ago. There’s been no replacement. Are we spending a fortune on interim replacements? You bet!

How’s the town manager search going? The charter dictates s/he needs to be hired by Nov. 19, but the Selectman Phil Sengle-led search committee states late December is more likely.

We need decision makers on the TC. The new TC needs people successful in both their personal and professional lives. Clinton needs conservative leadership with a track record of know-how. Mark Richards, Chris Aniskovich, Dennis Donovan, and I are the backbone of volunteerism and get-it-done attitude. We’re the right people at the right time.

I encourage your readers to vote Republican—Row B—for Town Council.
