Steady Hand, Calm Demeanor

As I consider the candidates for Clinton’s new Town Council, I am delighted to see the familiar name of Jack Scherban as a candidate. I have known Jack and his family for nearly 35 years. Jack has always been community minded and active in many roles, including years of coaching Little League when his children were young.

Jack has served as a member of our Board of Finance where he was a past chairperson. He was a member of Capital Expenditure Committee as well as serving on the Bonding Committee and the Police Pension Committee. For the past two years, Jack has served on the Board of Selectmen and has invested hundreds of hours to encourage economic development in Clinton.

I am excited and look forward to our new town manager/town council form of government. Jack Scherban will serve the town of Clinton, as he has in the past, with a steady hand and calm demeanor. We all want qualified and dedicated candidates and Jack fills the bill. I hope your readers join me in voting for Jack Scherban for Town Council.
