Expect Great Things

Clinton’s upcoming election on Nov. 5 will be one of the most important in modern times. Voters will be choosing the first Town Council in Clinton. The Town Council will govern under the new charter. Seven new councilors will select and direct the agenda of the first town manager for Clinton.

The Republican Town Committee’s role is to search, interview, vet and finally select the most-qualified candidates to serve our townspeople. We have impressive results.

This election we have a diverse group of individuals. Two seasoned members of the Board of Selectman, current Selectman Carol Walter and former selectman Dennis Donovan. They both have extensive service to our town and they both have demonstrated their fair and honest approach in their decisions and their voting.

We also round off our slate of council candidates with two new members, Mark Richards and Chris Aniskovich. These powerhouses have served this town on boards and many civic groups with insight and integrity. They are both accomplished, business-minded individuals who will bring a great deal of expertise and positive ideas to help Clinton to be the best that it can be.

Four unique individuals who have already done so much for Clinton and will combine their efforts as the new council members for the town. These individuals are committed to putting people before politics. We expect great things from them and your readers should, too.
