Having served on town commissions and as Madison’s Shoreline Greenway Trail chair, I know how important it is to have good people in town leadership positions. I’ve gotten to know Seth and worked with him over the past 15 years. I’ve also observed his work for the town. He has consistently been one of our best leaders.
Seth’s had a tremendous, positive influence on Madison governance. He has successfully formed coalitions across party lines. His collegiality supports nonpartisan cooperation. He’s fair-minded, open-minded, and interested in community input. His integrity is impeccable. Seth has been dedicated to open process, government transparency, and collaboration among town Boards.
Seth has an outstanding résumé for this role. His 12 years on the Board of Education was dedicated to preserving our excellent education system, and he is committed to supporting our schools on the BOF. He understands land use law from his years on the Zoning Board of Appeals. A former civil litigator, Attorney Klaskin understands how to manage risk while advocating for progress. In nine years directing the Business Services Division for the secretary of the state, he substantially reduced the divisional budget, developed public administration experience, and sharpened his policy skills drafting laws. He presently serves on the General Assembly’s Data Analysis Technology Advisory Board, where he helped shape the new State Data Plan. He possesses significant experience in public sector fiscal management and policy. An entrepreneur and an arts patron, Seth understands that small businesses, arts, and culture are vital to the community.
