Dedication to the Town

This letter is in support of my husband Dennis Donovan, who is running for the Clinton Town Council.

Many of your readers know of his dedication to the town for more than 30 years; his prior successes on the Park & Recreation Commission, Board of Selectmen, finance board, and various building committees attest to his hard working attitude and willingness to work with others to do what is right for the town.

Here is an insight on the other Dennis Donovan who has been involved in this community.

Dennis has worked on various fundraising projects like the Clinton Rotary Cancer Relief Walk Committee, and by sitting on the dunk booths at the Clinton Bluefish festivals and town beach playground fundraisers. He has dressed up for the haunted house for the DARE program.

He has worked on the Morgan Graduation Night Committee of 2010 on backdrop construction. Dennis has done and would do anything to help a civic or school project.

He coached in the Clinton Touchdown Club and was an active member for more than 20 years. He coached football at The Morgan School for 14 years and now volunteers as an announcer for the Morgan football games.

He’s presently an usher at the 7:30 Sunday Mass at St. Mary’s Church. Dennis has received the secretary of the state’s Public Service Award as well as the Connecticut General Assembly’s Community Service Citation.

I know personally of his devotion and dedication to all the residents of Clinton, young, old and in between. I am proud that he has chosen to further serve his community, and that is why I am encouraging the voters to support my husband Dennis Donovan by voting for him in both boxes 2B and 6B. They can learn more about Dennis on his Facebook page.
